Drake Goes Hunting
Drake and Shea went hunting and saw a spike! He was highly disappointed that he only saw one and couldn't shoot it. Especially after following Lexi's two does in two days on her first hunting trip. Everything is a competition with those two. I know he was excited to go and had a blast. The most exciting highlight of the day, according to Drake, was seeing the real life Mater and that big machine that was in the field chasing him and Lightning McQueen. He thought that was hilarious!!

Lexi's First Deer!!!
Well, I have been super lazy on keeping our blog up so I am going to play a little catch up. On Nov. 22 Lexi killed her first deer at 6yrs old. Shea was so excited and the proudest daddy ever of his little girl. It has been his dream since we started having kids to take them hunting with him. Hunting is his passion. Here are some pics of that special day!!

Shea got the JOB!!!!
Shea has been interviewing for Federated Insurance for the past 3 months. We went up to Franklin, TN Thursday night and had the last interview with the BIG DOG (the boss man). It went great and Shea blew them away. One of the bosses that was in the interview with us said that he has never seen anyone come in and handle the interview the way Shea did and blow the Big Dog away. That was the best compliment ever and put Shea on cloud nine!! We are so excited and grateful that this amazing opportunity has found us. We thank God for that!!! So now we are Minnesota bound in February 2009. Shea has to go to a training class that last 10 months but could be 12 months until we leave. It's going to be cold(FREEZING), but the experience is going to be priceless. The kids were jumping for joy when we told them only because they were going to see snow. I think that excitement will fade after a few weeks of bitter coldness and more than enough snow to last a lifetime for us southerners. MINNESOTA HERE WE COME!!!!

Lexi was playing in the pond. How innocent does she look? I just love this picture.
My sweet babies. We spent our Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law's house and it was wonderful. This was her first year to host at her house and she did an awesome job!! GO NIKKI!! We took some family photos which is rare because it is usually Shea or me taking the pictures.

Well, a lot of you guys know that we were expecting our third baby on July 4th. We unfortunately lost baby on Wed night and we were very sad to lose it. But I truly believe that God has a greater plan for our future and his blueprints were not the same as ours. So that, in itself, brings me much comfort that everything happens for a reason. I also would like to thank our family for being so helpful and comforting during our sadness. It has made our healing faster that expected. I can't stay sad when I see how much happiness I already have around me. Thank God for Family!! Thank you for being here and listening to us during this time. I also wanted to say that I love all of you guys more than you you know!

All A's For Lexi!!
Lexi just received her first report card with grades on it!!! She got ALL A'S !!!!! I have never been so nervous about Lexi in school until this year because it is so different from Kindergarten. I have always been the one checking her homework and teaching her extra things but she has never got grades on any of it. Now she gets grades on everything she does at school and I am not there to help her or check her work. But she has definitely proven that she is one smart cookie and doesn't need me holding her hand every step of the way. I am both sad to see her growing up so fast yet so proud to see her independent and strong. She is one special little girl and we are so proud of her. Our sweet Lexibear
